JOHN RITENOUR   EDINBURG - John Perry Ritenour, 77, died   
Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.
  Mr. Ritenour was born Jan. 31, 1927, in Maurertown, son  
of the late William Harrison "Harry" and Ida Ritenour.
  He was an Army veteran of World War II and member of     
Woodstock Christian Church.
  Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia McKinney of Salem; a   
sister, Dorothy I. Turner of Edinburg; two brothers, Lonnie
Franklin Ritenour of Tandem Health Care in Woodstock and   
Richard H. "Boo" Ritenour of Edinburg; and two
grandchildren.                                             
  Private services will be held at a later date.
  Arrangements by Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock.

[Here is a prime example of confusion when the paper only  
reports the day of the week and not the date.  Did he die
on press day early enough to make the news, or was it the  
preceeding Monday, a week earlier.  We know in this case
because the Herald also reported it.]
